Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín. |
One of the greatest treasures of our winery is the ageing cellar for our barrel-fermented Chardonnay white wine. In actual fact, the first barrel-fermented Spanish white wine was produced at Castillo de Monjardín, a process which, at the time, was more related to producing Burgundy wines. Our white wine is a fine quality product that never fails to surprise the international market.
Our barrels room to ferment our best Chardonnays has a total capacity of 70 barrels that are all new French Allier. In the atmosphere, you can feel the uniqueness of these wines, its aroma takes over each and every one of your senses and, if you remain silent, you can even hear the heartbeat of a wine produced in the traditional artisan way, and which receives the greatest care and attention from September to July while being aged with its lees. After the barrels, our Chardonnays are aged as 5 Years Reservas which are still fresh and elegant.
